You know how you’re not supposed to go grocery shopping when you’re hungry because you’ll end up with more than you bargained for? Same thing applies when you’re going through kitty withdrawal.

He is organically grown, though. Thanks New Seasons!

PDX Cats is BACK

Posted in Northeast with tags , , , , on January 31, 2012 by idealnico

And this is why.

In October, my co-conspirator/contributor GingerLimeCoco abandoned me to live in Chile for, like, a million years, and I have been too heartbroken and desolate to post anything while she was gone. Until this video mysteriously arrived in my inbox.

3 guesses who sent it to me.

So. Watch out, PDX cats, the Catarazzi has returned. Gimme kitties.

Who needs a best friend??

Posted in Uncategorized on July 13, 2011 by GingerLimeCoco

This tuxedo sweetheart is in need of a new home. Her human is running off to do some good in the world by volunteering overseas and, while happy to be pursuing her passion, is heartbroken to leave her favorite gal behind. Mazzy is cuddly, playful, and would love to offer you fashion consultation each morning as you sift through your closet. She’s a very low maintenance kitty and would love a yard to play in, but a window with views of squirrels and birds will do too.

Length of adoption: Preferably permanently, but if this is not possible, 6-12 months (The duration of the volunteer project will very soon be determined.) Her human will be leaving at the end of August.

Mazzy may be reaching those senior years (She’s 10), but is still as silly as a kitten and a very very sweet lap cat. She also has the cutest little nose on the planet.

Activities: Chasing LASERS, Da Bird! and anything that moves, really. Oh, she loves her double wide cat scratcher, catnip toys, and hiding in the cupboard.

Okay with dogs?: She’s not a dog fan, but she has lived with one before. She just ignores them.

Okay with cats?: Not really. I guess it depends on the cat, though.

Okay with kids?: Meh, she hides from them. She’s only been exposed to hyperactive boys, though.

Health: She just visited the vet the other day and rec’d a PERFECT bill of health. Well, except for that little overweight thing….

Comes with: Oodles and oodles of foodles, a litter box, litter to last a few months, toys, catnip, a carrier.

Wouldn’t you love to come home to this rubenesque charmer??

What’s the best part of coming home after a long day at work? Well, this guy greeting you at the door with his signature squeaks and chirps! Clark’s human is moving overseas to volunteer for a social justice organization and is heartbroken to leave her best bud behind.Won’t you help him find a home? He is truly a one-of-a-kind gem.  Twelve years old and weighing in at 20 pounds, he is quite a character, very social, and has accumulated many fans over the course of his life. He is a dog lover’s kind of cat.

Length of adoption: Starting at the end of August/Early September  and preferably permanently as his owner’s life plans are up in the air, but if this is not possible, 6-12 months (the duration of the volunteer project, which will very soon be determined).

Activities: Purring and purring and more purring, chasing that crazy string, being the center of attention, chirping, meowing, squeaking, cuddling, laying in the sun. He loves parties, especially Game Night. Oh, and EATING.

Okay with Dogs?: Yeah, he’s cool with them as long as they’re not those freaky chihuahuas. He’ll probably want to play hide and seek with them/it.

Okay with other cats?: Not sure; about as well as any other cat, I suppose.

Okay with kids?: Once he puts them in their place. As long as they don’t pull his tail or shove things in his face, he’s fine. And forgiving.

Health: Clark is a special little freak show. He has asthma which means he is on a special diet: 100% grain-free food only! (Right now he eats Orijen.) Also, no litter with wheat products in it please.  He has mild attacks when something really exciting happens, like you waking up or walking through the door at the end of the day, but they’re nothing that requires medication.

Comes with: Oodles and oodles of foodles, litter box, litter to last a few months, the “cat charmer” (favorite toy), cat carrier.

Look at us! We’re cute!
